A Season of Heart and Hustle: A Look Back at the 2025 Season

What a season it has been! To kick things off, we want to extend a massive thank you to our incredible fans. Your support at our home games was the heartbeat of our team, and your energy fueled us through every challenge and victory. Seeing you in the stands, cheering us on, made every match a true home game.

This year was a journey of passion and perseverance. Our story began under unique circumstances—we formed this team in less than 30 days, with a roster of entirely new faces. Not a single player returned from the 2024 season, which meant the team had to learn how to play together from scratch. We faced our share of challenges and setbacks, but the team's spirit never wavered. As the season progressed, the players’ hard work and dedication paid off. They began to gel, play cohesively, and build a powerful camaraderie on and off the field. We battled hard, learned from every moment, and finished the season securing three wins to close out the year. This finish is a testament to the dedication of our players and the bright future ahead for Lenexa City FC.

Off the field, we were proud to participate in the Lenexa City Community Days parade, an event that allowed us to connect with so many of you directly. It's moments like these that remind us that we're more than a soccer team; we're a part of the vibrant Lenexa community. We are also incredibly excited about the formation of the WESL LCFC Women's team. This new addition marks a significant milestone for our club and we can't wait to see what they achieve.

Building for a Brighter Future

The club is in a strong financial position, which allows us to focus on what's most important: building an even stronger team for the seasons ahead. The off-season will be anything but quiet. We are excited to announce our search for a Team Director to provide strategic leadership to the team side and help us reach new heights.

On the player side, the work has already begun. Our current roster will be undergoing off-season training to hone their skills and prepare for the next level of competition. At the same time, we will be holding tryouts to scout and welcome new talent into the LCFC family. We're committed to building a squad that embodies the grit and determination of Lenexa.

Our plans for 2026 are already taking shape. We're excited to partner with the City of Lenexa for events throughout the year, including a return to the parade and participation in various city festivals. On the competitive front, we have ambitious goals. We plan to participate in prestigious tournaments such as the Kansas State Cup and are even setting our sights on a possible entry into the legendary US Open Cup.
