Lenexa City FC is thrilled to announce the formation of its Women's First Team, set to debut in the Women’s Elite Soccer League (WESL) for the 2026 season! This marks an exciting new chapter for our club as we expand our presence in the vibrant Lenexa and Kansas City soccer scene.

Leading the charge for our new women's side will be Brayden Pratt and Rachael Cooper. Many of you will recognize Brayden as the head coach of our men's team during the 2025 season, and we're excited to see her leadership and expertise guide our women's program. 

The Women’s Elite Soccer League (WESL) is a premier adult women's soccer league serving the Kansas City metropolitan area, providing a fantastic platform for high-level competition. WESL features a competitive, club-based structure where each team represents its own identity, complete with a dedicated home pitch and local support – a perfect fit for the spirit of Lenexa City FC.

The league adheres to traditional soccer principles with full 11v11 matches played outdoors under FIFA rules. Clubs will compete in a home-and-away format throughout the KC metro area during the season, promising a true league experience for both players and fans alike. WESL is designed for players eager to compete at a high level in a professionally organized environment that celebrates skill, teamwork, and community pride.
