We are seeking a Team Operations Director to join Lenexa City FC. This key leadership role is responsible for the overall day-to-day management and operational success of the team, working closely with the coaching staff and players to ensure a smooth and successful season. The ideal candidate is a highly organized, proactive individual with a passion for soccer and a strong commitment to fostering a positive team environment.



Key Roles and Qualifications


  • Previous Coaching Experience: We are looking for someone with a background in coaching, ideally within a competitive youth or adult soccer league. This experience will provide you with a deep understanding of player development, team dynamics, and the on-field challenges that coaches and players face. You will be a valuable resource for the coaching staff, helping to shape training sessions and provide meaningful feedback to players.


  • Leadership & Management: You will manage and provide support to our coaching staff, ensuring they have the resources and assistance they need to succeed. This includes acting as a liaison between the coaching staff and club management, helping to resolve issues, and fostering a collaborative and productive atmosphere.


  • Local Soccer Connections: A strong network within the local soccer community is highly preferred. Your connections with other coaches, clubs, and youth organizations will be instrumental in player recruitment and building a strong foundation for our team.


  • Team Training: Working in collaboration with the head coach, you will provide instruction, training, guidance, and feedback to help players improve their skills and reach their potential. You will have a hand in designing practice plans, running drills, and observing player performance to ensure continuous improvement.


  • Game Day Operations: You will be responsible for coordinating all logistics for both home and away games. This includes everything from field setup and breakdown, to ensuring all necessary equipment is transported, to communicating with opposing teams and league officials. Your attention to detail will ensure every game day runs smoothly.


  • Equipment Management: You will oversee the inventory and maintenance of all team equipment.


  • Scheduling & Calendar Management: You will maintain and communicate the team schedule for all practices, games, and events. This includes using a scheduling platform to keep the team calendar up-to-date and sending out timely updates and reminders to players.


  • Player Communication: You will be the primary point of contact for players, facilitating communication regarding team updates, schedule changes, and other important information. You will ensure that all players are well-informed and engaged.


  • Pre- and Mid-Season Player Recruitment: You will assist in the identification and recruitment of new players. Your responsibilities will include scouting new talent, organizing tryouts, and communicating with prospective players to grow and strengthen our team roster.
